Forms of Alopecia
Alopecia Areata- An autoimmune disorder which effectively turns your own immune system against your hair follicles. Alopecia Areata is a partial hair loss that usually takes the form of hair loss in small circles at the start and can further progress to other forms of alopecia.
Alopecia Totalis- This type of hair loss results in total hair loss on the scalp, and can affect eyebrows and eyelashes as well, but this is the extent of the condition.
Alopecia Universalis- Total hair loss across the whole body. There is no medical clarity as to why people suffer from Alopecia, however, the majority of hair loss instances of this type are related to stress, often caused by trauma.
What options do I have to manage with Alopecia?
