Alopecia Areata- An autoimmune disorder which effectively turns your own immune system against your hair follicles. Alopecia Areata is a partial hair loss that usually takes the form of hair loss in small circles at the start and can further progress to other forms of alopecia.

Alopecia Totalis- This type of hair loss results in total hair loss on the scalp, and can affect eyebrows and eyelashes as well, but this is the extent of the condition.

Alopecia Universalis- Total hair loss across the whole body. There is no medical clarity as to why people suffer from Alopecia, however, the majority of hair loss instances of this type are related to stress, often caused by trauma.

What options do I have to manage with Alopecia?

If small round circles appear that do not affect your hair style, Hair Thickening Spray can be used to give the illusion of full hair coverage and is available in various different colours to match your natural hair colour. If the area of hair loss is too large or affects the style of your hair, a partial hair piece could be considered. There are a variety of different types of hair pieces we have available. If you have Alopecia Totalis there are a range of full head wigs for you, dependant on your amount of hair loss.
